"Davao city is one of the places in the Philippines in which football can really flourish," said by Vik Oliveros, Cortal SQR Marketing Manager during the Team Azkals' Cortal SQR New Ad Press Conference at Marco Polo Davao last Sept. 1, 2011. Oliveros continues "Davao city is one of biggest cities in the country and still has a lot of open space wherein young children can play the sport".
The said presscon was not just about the product and the endorsers, it is more of the advocacy of promoting football to the young ones in the city and in the country. For how many years, basketball have always been the favorite sport of Filipinos so this time its time to excel in a different type of sport and that is football. This advocacy campaign is supported by Cortal SQR and Team Philippine Azkals.
With Cortal SQR's announcement of their support to the team, along with some members of the Azkals namely Misagh Bahadoran, Roel Gener, Paolo Pascual, and Yannick Tuazon - who is from Tagum city, attended the said press conference with Davao's different media sectors. I am very happy to be part of it, plus the fact that it is my first time in this type of occasion. I am not really into football that's why I ask them if its hard or expensive to learn such sport then Bahadoran of Team Azkals said "it is easy as long as you know how to run and you have the passion to do it". Add on by another Azkal player "hindi po sya mahal kasi ako po dati sa bakuran lang ako naglalaro at naka paa lang po ako".
