Tugbok Davao City Students Received School Materials

Last May 24, 2014, our team together with other volunteers went to Tugbok, Davao city to distribute school supplies to more than a hundred students as part of the 4th Back to School Gift Giving Project. The said project aims to provide better education to less fortunate children especially those in remote areas. One of its project was to give necessary school materials like bags, notebooks, pencils, etc. For the first leg of the project, our beneficiaries were students who live in two different orphanages in Tugbok namely, Providence Home of St. Joseph and Padre Pio's Home for Children.

Aside from the distribution of school supplies, there were also other activities like the face painting and free haircut from Arlyn Salon and Academy. Kids enjoyed face painting made by some of our artistic volunteers. Boy and some girls also had their new hair cut before the academic year starts.

Last part of the activity, kids used their talent in art in making Thank You cards as a sign of gratitude to all the volunteers and sponsors of the said project. Ate's and Kuya's were there also to guide them how to do it.

To all the sponsors and volunteers, thank you for making this possible. To these kids, thank you for giving us the opportunity to share the gift of giving. As you will go to school, im sure you will be more motivated and happy now because you have school materials to foster your education. Good luck on your study and see you next Back to School Gift Giving Project.

Beneficiaries are: Tugbok Elementary Students under two different orphanages, Padre Pios Home for Children and the Providence Home of St. Joseph.
